Caution---Not accepting new patients even though it may say so on your insurance website. Based on recommendations found online it seems that Dr. Simms would be a great doctor. However, even though they have not been accepting new patients for the past several months (per the receptionist) they chose not to update this information to the insurance companies. I chose him then tried to make an appointment once I got my insurance card and was told that they are not accepting new patients. Quite inconvenient and frustrating.

Dr. Simms was genuinely a nice guy. My super power in life is reading people. I could tell that I was important, I mattered and that the office cares about their patients. My quest for a finding a new doctor that I can grow old with has ceased. Thank you Dr. Simms and staff for making a difference. I appreciate you and your warm old house.

I booked an appointment with this practice weeks in advance. I received an email confirmation. I filled out their questionnaire. Day of my appointment I called the office they said they canceled my appointment because they weren’t excepting new patients. I had previously put that I was a new patient in that same questionnaire. They never notified me through a call, text, or email. Spoke with Jerry, who refused to provide his last name, and stated there was nothing they were going to do about it. He said he would have the retention, complaint manager, contact me back because they weren’t there at that time. It’s not ok that practices get to do this to patients that are in need of health care. This practice should be held liable for negligence of some degree.

I scheduled a new patient appointment with Dr. Simms and was waiting 5 months for the appointment. After 4 months, they emailed me they weren't accepting new patients and cancelled my appointment. That was so unprofessional! I needed a referral for a pressing issue and now I have to start all over. If that is the way they treat patients then I don't want to be involved with them anyway.

We went to visit Dr Simms as a family. The staff was wonderful and took the time they needed to make sure all three of us got exactly what we needed. Dr Simms is amazing. He was kind, took plenty of time with us individually and as a family, and answered all of our questions. It's nice to have a family doctor I can trust.

My whole family goes to Dr. Simms and Laura PA. They are always taken care of and have been for 15 years. The office has had issues with staffing just like everyone else, but they are always kind and considerate.

This was my first visit to Dr. Simms having no personal referral. Without any doubt, I made a good choice. If you are looking for a very good doctor in Denton, TX, I highly recommend Dr. Simms . In addition, the staff members are very warm, inviting and professional. The office location is easy to find and plenty of free parking. What impressed me the most was the time Dr. Simms took to "get to know me", both my medical and personal history.
